MEET: Linda Rouda
Linda is one of the Prima Medical Medical Foundation's Midwives who staff the Marin General Hospital Family Birth Center.
With over 35 years of experience, she chose this profession in order to provide a positive and supportive environment in which a new being can enter the world. She has worked in a variety of settings including private practice, and Marin County's Women's Health Services.
She is actively involved in the Centering Pregnancy model of group pre-natal care and has mentored midwifery and medical students from UCSF as a clinical preceptor. She draws upon her experiences as a yoga and meditation teacher to create a peaceful environment for her patients, helping to decrease their anxiety and empower them in the moment. She is also trained in hypno-birthing.
Linda and her husband had the pleasure of raising their two daughters in Mill Valley, where they currently reside with their dogs, cats, and parrots.
